महासंघका अध्यक्ष श्रेष्ठ र नेपालका लागि चिनियाँ राजदूत माओमिङबीच भेटवार्ता - तातोपानी नाका पुनः सञ्चालनका लागि चीनसंग आग्रह (२०८३/०६/१४)

नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका अध्यक्ष अन्जन श्रेष्ठ र नेपालका लागि चिनियाँ राजदूत झाङ माओमिङबीच तातोपानी भन्सार नाका सञ्चालनका लागि आवश्यक कूटनीतिक तथा प्राविधिक सहजीकरणबारे छलफल भएको छ । 

छलफलमा अध्यक्ष श्रेष्ठले आपूर्ति शृंखलामा देखिएको अवरोध कम गर्न र व्यापारी तथा उपभोक्तालाई सहज आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित गर्न तातोपानी नाका तत्काल पुनः सञ्चालनका लागि चिनियाँ पक्षबाट आवश्यक सहजीकरण गर्न आग्रह गर्नुभयो । उहाँले कठिन परिस्थितिमा व्यापारिक आवागमन सहज बनाउनुका साथै निजी क्षेत्रको व्यावसायिक आत्मविश्वास कायम राख्न दुवै देशबीच निरन्तर समन्वय आवश्यक रहेको बताउनुभयो । 

मुख्य उत्तरी व्यापारिक नाकामा रसुवागढी तथा कोरला नाकामा अवरोध आएपछि चाडपर्वको प्रमुख व्यापारिक मौसमअघि नै नेपाल–चीन व्यापार तथा आपूर्ति शृंखलामा थप दबाब परेको उहाँले जानकारी गराउनु भएको थियो । 



रसुवागढी–केरुङ नाकामा बाढीले क्षति पुर्याएपछि बढेको व्यापारिक चाप कम गर्न तातोपानी भन्सार नाका यथाशीघ्र पुनः सञ्चालन गर्ने विषयमा चिनियाँ पक्ष सकारात्मक देखिएको छ । जवाफमा राजदूत झाङले बाढीबाट नेपाल र चीन दुवैतर्फ भएको मानवीय तथा आर्थिक क्षतिप्रति चिन्ता व्यक्त गर्दै व्यापारिक मार्ग यथाशीघ्र सञ्चालनमा ल्याउन चिनियाँ र नेपाली अधिकारीहरूबीच संयुक्त रूपमा स्थलगत निरीक्षण भइरहेको जानकारी दिनुभयो । सडक तथा अन्य पूर्वाधारको मर्मत र पुनर्स्थापनाका लागि चिनियाँ पक्षले द्रुत कार्य टोली परिचालन गरेको उल्लेख गर्दै उहाँले जनजीवन र आवागमन सहज बनाउन आवश्यक पहल भइरहेको बताउनुभयो ।

भोटेकोशी नदीमा आएको बाढीले रसुवागढी–केरुङ नाकातर्फको पुल, भन्सार कार्यालय, सुख्खा बन्दरगाह (आईसीडी) तथा काठमाडौंलाई चीनको सीमासँग जोड्ने करिब १४५ किलोमिटर सडकखण्डमध्ये ४५ किलोमिटर क्षेत्रमा क्षति पुर्याएको छ । 

महासंघका अध्यक्ष श्रेष्ठले कठिन समयमा चीनले देखाएको सहयोग र ऐक्यबद्धताप्रति आभार व्यक्त गर्दै व्यापार तथा लगानीका चुनौती सम्बोधन गर्न सहकार्यलाई थप प्रभावकारी बनाउनुपर्नेमा जोड दिनुभयो ।  यसैक्रममा नेपाल र चीनका निजी क्षेत्रबीच व्यापार तथा लगानीसम्बन्धी चुनौती, सम्भावना र आर्थिक पुनरुत्थानका लागि दीर्घकालीन समाधान पहिचान गर्न संयुक्त व्यापार मञ्च आयोजना गर्ने विषयमा पनि छलफल भएको छ । 

सो अवसरमा महासंघका वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष श्री सुरकृष्ण वैद्य र महानिर्देशक डा. गोपाल प्रसाद तिवारीले नेपाल–चीनबीचको द्विपक्षीय व्यापार, लगानी तथा दीर्घकालीन आर्थिक सहकार्यका विषयमा सहकार्य गर्दै जानु पर्ने धारणा राख्नु भएको थियो । 


FNCCI President Shrestha urges Chinese Ambassador to reopen Tatopani border crossing

Anjan Shrestha, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), met with Zhang Maoming, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, to discuss the diplomatic and technical facilitation required to operationalise the Tatopani customs border point. 

During the meeting, President Shrestha urged the Chinese side to assist in immediately reopening the Tatopani border crossing, thereby mitigating supply chain disruptions and ensuring steady flows of goods for businesses and consumers. He emphasised that sustained cross-border coordination is vital to maintain trade flows during crises and bolster private-sector confidence.

He informed the ambassador that disruptions along key northern trade arteries, namely the Rasuwagadhi and Korala border points, have intensified strain on Nepal-China supply chains ahead of the peak festive shopping season.

The Chinese delegation responded constructively regarding the expedited reopening of the Tatopani customs post to alleviate trade bottlenecks caused by flood damage along the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung corridor. 

Ambassador Zhang expressed deep concern over the loss of life and economic devastation inflicted by the floods on both sides of the border, noting that joint field inspections by Nepali and Chinese officials are underway to reinstate trade routes as swiftly as possible. He added that China has deployed rapid-response units to repair roads and critical infrastructure, assuring that all necessary measures are being taken to normalise daily life and transit.

Severe flooding along the Bhotekoshi River compromised the bridge along the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung route, the local customs office, the dry port (ICD), and approximately 45 kilometres of the 145-kilometre highway connecting Kathmandu to the Chinese border.

Expressing appreciation for China’s support and solidarity during this critical period, FNCCI President Shrestha underscored the need for more effective bilateral cooperation to tackle trade and investment hurdles. In this regard, both parties discussed convening a joint business forum featuring the Nepali and Chinese private sectors to chart long-term strategies for trade resilience, economic recovery and commercial expansion.

During the interaction, FNCCI Senior Vice President Sur Krishna Vaidya and Director General Dr. Gopal Prasad Tiwari reiterated the imperative of sustained partnership across bilateral trade, investment and long-term economic engagement between Nepal and China.
